SAP-SuccessFactors® is a cloud-based solution for your employees and your organization. The SAP-SuccessFactors® HCM Suite offers a high-performance Personnel Management System with easy, ready-made and integrated tools that are cloud-based and thus perfect for implementing your specific requirements. In the long term, SAP-SuccessFactors® will replace the classic SAP ERP environment.
SAP AG has extended support of our traditional On-Premise ERP HCM solution to 2027. An „Extended Maintenance“ until end of 2030 will entail additional fees (2%). Clients need to change over to a new SAP HCM solution until 2027/2030 at the very latest. One solution option is „SAP HCM for S/HANA“, or „H4S4“ for short, which will be supported until 2040. A complete changeover to SAP-SuccessFactors® must be implemented no later than 2040.
Personnel administration (PA)

Personnel time management (PT)
Personnel time management supports you in collecting, performing and evaluating work performance and absences of employees. Personnel time management supports you with user-aligned, central and decentralized interfaces. Personnel time management helps in mapping pay scale, statutory and company-specific working hours regulations worldwide.
Payroll accounting (PY)
Payroll accounting is a complex process since a proper, monthly recurring sequence of activities must be ensured. Requirements to payroll accounting change monthly, and therefore your SAP® HCM System must fulfil these requirements perfectly.
ALE interfaces (IDOC)
ALE is short for Application Link Enabling and serves for internal communications between different SAP® Systems. The so-called business process model / distribution model performs data modeling and data transfer between the emitting and receiving systems.
Travel Management (TM)
Travel cost management represents the entire integrated administration of all incurring processes and costs of business travel. This process covers travel application, planning of the trip, and finally settlement and taxation of all costs. This process is supported by a novel web design called „SAP® FIORI“ which supports employees and line managers in this process in a completely digital manner.
Payroll Cost Planning (PKP)
Use Payroll Cost Planning to plan the development of wages/salaries and the respective employee benefit costs (employer’s shares, social security, advanced training measures, special payments, taxes). To this effect you may use different planning scenarios for simulations and cost planning, and for viewing their effect upon your company. This provides optimum support to evaluate and substantiate company decisions using the respective data and facts.
With Event Management you receive a powerful, user-friendly and fully integrated SAP® HCM module which permits reliable and comprehensive planning, implementing, and wrap-up of events. Event Management is integrated into many different SAP® Modules such as e.g. Time Management, Accounting, Invoicing, or Qualifications.
ABAP / ABAP-OO / ABAP RAP / ABAP CAP
ABAP is SAP AG’s internal programming language and, together with ABAP-OO, represents/maps the basic structures of the SAP® HCM System. Programming languages ABAP Restful Application Programming (RAP) and ABAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) were created in the course of developing new applications such as SAP FIORI and SAP S/4HANA. All programming languages are used for traditional backend development and modern frontend design development.
Authorizations are used within the SAP® HCM System for controlling access to personalized data. Authorizations are bundled using Authorization Objects which permits verifications which are complex and linked to several preconditions. Also, authorizations are assigned to employees based upon their respective functions, thus clearly separating individual functions within a company. Of course, GDPR requirements are fulfilled as well.
SAP Fiori / SAP UI5
SAP® Fiori is a new method for applications to communicate with company users in the future. Users are thereby supported in their daily tasks via PC or mobile device. SAP FIORI integrates different APPS, and thus different services, to map company processes such as timekeeping, bank data maintenance, application for leave, remuneration statement, DEÜV or time proof of Integration, as well as many customer-specific services.

Deployment Scheduling (PEP)
SAP® Deployment Scheduling permits best possible deployment of your human resources within the company while respecting all legal and internal company requirements. To this purpose, planners have a planning surface at their disposal which enables them to react quickly to operational and personal changes, to reschedule shifts, to modify deployment planning, or to schedule so-called standby staff. Planners at any time retain a good overview of all important KPI such as overtime hours, extra work or statutory nonworking shifts. Deployment Scheduling is integrated into various processes such as e.g. Time Management, Accounting and Qualification Management.
Recruiting is an important instrument for satisfying staff requirements as regards quantity, quality and suitable time scheduling. The Recruiting process is integrated into Staff Administration which means relevant staff data are automatically imported into staff master data after employment is concluded. The Recruiting process integrates employees, managers, and HR staff.
Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) for GDPR
SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) performs automatic management, reviewing, and deletion of staff master data. To delete employee data, various deletion rules are required which conform to GDPR principles such as e.g. appropriation. Depending on the evaluation result, the respective employee’s data are deleted or continue to be stored within the company.
