Digital Education with Impact – Lea SME Award 2025
An Evening for Responsibility and Unity
At the 19th Lea SME Award ceremony, everything revolved around the motto “Together.”221 companies from across Baden-Württemberg showcased what social commitment in the SME sector can mean.
Also in attendance: HCM SSC GmbH. Our colleagues Jaqueline Frick and Steffen Braun represented the company in the White Hall of the New Palace in Stuttgart—and returned impressed.

Our Project: Digital Skills for Primary Schools
In the 2023/2024 school year, we taught the 4th grade class at Kleingartach Primary School every week as part of a computer club. The goal was to introduce children to basic digital skills early on—in a practical, understandable, and fun way.
What makes this project special: Without our support, this class would not have been possible. Access to computers, office applications, and safe internet use is still not a given in many primary schools, especially not as part of the regular school day. The lessons were personally conducted by our CEO, Roland Quade. For him, it was more than volunteer work—it was a true passion project.
What the children learned:
- Basics of hardware and software
- Risks of internet use and how to navigate them safely
- Praktische Übungen mit Word, Excel und PowerPoint
They created profiles, conducted online research, improved their mouse and keyboard skills—and with each lesson, they grew a little more into the digital world.
Why we do this? It’s straightforward.
Not all children have early access to digital devices or software, and schools often face limits in providing hands-on IT education. That’s where we come in. As an SAP HCM consultancy, we embrace digital processes and share our expertise where it matters most—with the professionals of tomorrow.
